Director Chen graduated from Jinan University in Nursing. After studying at Zhongshan Medical University, she began studying in a senior nursing program. In addition to the Third Military Medical University, she also studied in the United States at Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. During her career at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, she served in many capacities and is currently Nursing Director and Master Instructor at the hospital.

As a result of her long-term commitment to clinical nursing, nursing administration and teaching, Director Chen has presided over a number of provincial level research fund projects with 37 papers published and steers a senior nursing tutorial. Her part-time academic pursuits include: Guangdong Provincial Hospital Association Branch Chairman of nursing management; Vice President of Guangdong Provincial Nurses Association; and Guangdong Provincial Institute of Hospital Nursing Care Committee chairman. She has also made significant contributions towards hospital accreditation, hospital management, health care quality improvements and numerous professional magazine reviews.
