Rev Chan has given a lifetime of service to his constituency as a chaplain and a mental health advocate. For his outstanding work, Rev Chan was named one of 1991’s “Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young People.”

Among his service groups are: The Hong Kong Police Force, Enoch Christian Fellowship (groups, animal husbandry), Sham Shui Po District Chaplaincy Committee (Chaplain), Hong Kong Fairview Alliance Church (Pastoral) and the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong. He has served as a director at the Hong Kong Federation of Hospital Chaplaincies, the Christian Love Fellowship Association (Psychiatric Rehabilitation), Christian Mingguang She, Haven of Hope Christian and the Chinese Academy of Theology, and has been a consultant to many Hong Kong hospitals, rehabilitation centers and chaplaincy committees.

Rev Chan has a Bachelor of Theology degree (Alliance Bible Seminary), Road Master (China Graduate School of Theology) and Pastoral Ph.D. (USA Reformed Theological Seminary) and is a professional Clinical Pastor in Education (American Association for Clinical Pastoral).
