Dr. Chiu is a psychiatric specialist in the private practice and a former Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine.

She graduated from the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing College, and from Australia’s Monash University with a Diploma in Child Psychotherapy.

Dr. Chiu’s special interests are adolescent mental health issues and women’s emotional problems. Her psychological research interests include: psychosis, stigma, the metabolic side effects of antipsychotics, medication compliance, work groups for carers, recovery and violence in psychosis.
