The project involved cooperation of the US Army Research Institute, the use of eye-camera system and telemetric sensing.  Three ergonomics psychologists participated.

Advised the Transport Planning Commission on driver behavior, traffic & road safety measures, accident analysis, and pedestrian safety, on routine road observation and analysis working along with an American consultant.

6. Consultant, on training and education, Ministry of Defense, Taiwan (1974). Provided psychological design and planning of education courses for in-house training protocol and delivery, involving a comparison of classroom learning vs. programed instruction learning.

11. Founder of the Society and Member, Executive Council, International Graphonomics Society, July, 1985-1991. Organized the symposium on handwriting in Hong Kong and established the International Graphonomics Society. The proceedings were published by the journal Acta Psychologica in a special issue double- number volume under the new title Graphonomics: Contemporary Research in Handwriting. Here the concept ‘Graphonomics’ was coined and used for the first time to represent this new academic discipline. The society has prospered over the years with conferences taking place biannually since 1986.

The proceedings were later published in a scholarly volume by the Asian Productivity Organization, in Japan.

17. Senior Advisor, Fudan-Oxford International Research Centre of the fMRI of the Brain,  A  new venture between the University of Oxford and the Fudan University Huashan Hospital, Shanghai (2004- ). We conducted some of the earliest f-MRI studies in China as well as in Chinese language, which have been published in China and internationally.

18. General Consulting Services in the field of human resource management in Asia and U.S. including selection, training, safety and health and product designs;  on advertising and consumer behavior; as well as on worker health, worker personality and acculturation. A.    Brush-Writing Instruments for Health and Therapy

Abstract: The present invention relates to a writing brush or instrument that can be used to enhance general health and render therapeutic effects in treating behavioral, psychological, mental and psychosomatic disorders. The writing instrument has one or more biological detectors embedded in or attached to the shaft of the writing brush or instrument. The biological detectors record the biological activities of the user that are associated with the user's sensory, perceptual, emotional, cognitive and physiological conditions during writing or drawing. Sensory signals from the detectors can provide ongoing information of the user's graphonomic act and thus enable the user to control and regulate his or her bodily conditions throughout the writing process by influencing the changes in the sensory signals. The present invention is capable of improving the user's general health as well as providing therapeutic treatment for users with physical or mental disorders.

B.    Method of and System of Health Treatment

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of and a system for treating a health condition of a user. The method includes determining a sensory signal for use to treat the user's health condition, measuring the change to the sensory signal while the user is engaging in an activity, and using the sensory signal change to regulate the user's activity to thereby treat the user's health condition. The system has a sensor device for measuring a sensory signal of the user while the user is engaging in an activity and a display device receiving the sensory signal measured by the sensor device and displaying the sensory signal. The change to the sensory signal is used to regulate the user's activity to thereby treat the user's health condition.
